Mike Skalstad is a singer/songwriter who has lived all his life in the Pacific Northwest.  After a career in education, Mike has gone back to writing and performing his songs for live audiences.  He currently resides in Kennewick, WA and is performing in and around Southeastern Washington.  Mike is a songwriter who has reached deep into his roots of country, folk, and rock to blend songs about the human experience into poignant lyrics concerning life and it’s journey. He has produced two CD’s and is currently working on a third.  Both his CD‘s  Eventually and The Road Up Ahead are available at Amazon.com.  Mike has played festivals like the Tumbleweed Festival in Richland WA, and headlined Richland’s Three Rivers Coffee House.  He has also played various other wineries and venues in the area including in Dayton, WA and the and Wine Bars in Kennewick, WA. His music has been compared favorably to such artists as Gordon Lightfoot, Johnny Cash, and Kris Kristofferson.
